Sourcing in Bangladesh (sourcinginbangladesh.com) is a Bangladesh-focused B2B sourcing marketplace operated for buyers, suppliers, and service providers. For privacy questions email support@sourcinginbangladesh.com.
2. Scope
This policy covers our websites, APIs, member dashboards, messaging, RFQs, catalogues, credit wallet, support chat, and related services. It does not cover third-party sites linked from profiles or product pages.
3. Data we collect
• Account data: name, email, phone, password hash or Google subject, country, avatar, account intention.
• Company data: company name, location, website, logo, capabilities, certifications, trade documents you upload for verification.
• Marketplace activity: product listings, RFQs, quotations, inquiries, messages, reviews/ratings, browse and contact-reveal events.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser metadata, cookies or local session tokens needed for login and security.
• Support: chat transcripts and ticket content you send to support.
• Payments / credits: top-up requests, references, and ledger entries (we do not store full card numbers on our servers when payment is handled by a processor).

5. Legal bases (GDPR-style notice for international users)
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: contract performance (providing the service you signed up for); legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, marketplace integrity, product improvement — balanced against your rights); consent (marketing emails, optional cookies where required); and legal obligation.
6. Sharing
We share data with: infrastructure and email providers acting as processors; payment / banking references you supply for credit top-ups; professional advisors; and authorities when legally required. We do not sell personal data. Public profile fields, published products, and published reviews are visible to visitors as designed.
7. International transfers
Data may be processed on cloud infrastructure outside Bangladesh. We use contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to a B2B SaaS marketplace.
8. Retention
We keep account and transaction records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for disputes, audits, and legal retention. You may request deletion subject to lawful retention needs (see Section 10).
9. Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, audit logs for sensitive reveals, and least-privilege admin roles. No method is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your devices.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing. Email support@sourcinginbangladesh.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where you live or work. Bangladesh users may also contact us for data concerns under local law.
11. Children
The service is for business users. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
